How do I clean the line around my toilet Bowl? Answered!

You’re in despair, your toilet bowl has decided to take on a life of it’s own. There’s a disgusting line marking the bacteria that has floated to the top of your toilet bowl.

So how do you fix it? Easy peezy lemon squeezy! There is a three step process that will eliminate your line and get your toilet lookin..fine..?!

The first thing you’re going to need is an agitator. We like to use AJAX or a Clorox toilet bowl cleaner. This starts breaking down the gummed up bacteria to make it easier for the next step.

Leave that on there for 3 minutes if it’s pretty bad. You can leave it on for a longer or shorter period of time if you want. It depends on the severity of the buildup.

Secondly, you’re going to grab what is called a pumice stick or scouring stick. They are readily available on Amazon or other marketplaces. These have tons of uses and are great at breaking down buildup. Use this to start scrubbing away at the line in your bowl. You can watch the youtube video above to see how we do it. Although our buildup isn’t bad at all, it is the same process.

Lastly, you’re just going to use a good old regular toilet bowl cleaner to really grind everything together into a soup of destruction. Flush a few times to get rid of all the leftovers. This three step process might not get rid of everything right away as some stains are darned. But, if you just repeat it you should be good to go.

By the way, if you repeatedly are getting bad stains like this around your toilet bowl you could consider buying a small portable steam cleaner. Specifically a handheld one. We have one and it works like a charm.
